Wilder here. It’s our great pleasure to announce that we successfully wrapped our first two episodes, and we couldn’t have had a better experience on set.
In fact, the five days of shooting were without a doubt the easiest and most productive shoot dates any of us had ever experienced. Like taking a baby from candy. Or, whatever that expression is.
For those in the film world, you know that Murphy’s Law dominates any set. Wasn’t the case on Semi-Famous.
In fact, the series was born of an experience we had with difficulty on set. Semi-Famous is based on the time that Ezra and I tried to make an entire feature film on our own. After deciding it was a great story for another project, we decided to branch out of film and into more of the TV world - something we’d never tried. We combined ourselves into the character of Chris, and bingo bango bongo. Semi-Famous was born.
Ezra and I couldn’t be happier or more proud of our amazing cast and crew. You guys are, and I’m sure will continue to be, the glue that holds this series together.
What’s next, Wilder? When can I see these masterpiece episodes?? Can I have your autograph??? These are all questions I get asked daily.
And to answer you: Yes. You can have my autograph.
We’ll be releasing the episodes as soon as they’re edited. I’m not going to make any promises as to when that will be because I would say that I’ve been wrong roughly 99% of the times I’ve announced a release date for anything. Hey, I’m the guy who believed Steve Oedekerk would make a Kung Pow 2.
We’ll be launching a KickStarter campaign for the rest of the series, so the final ten episodes of the season can be just as high in quality as the first two. In the meantime, here’s a video of a bear that waves at people.
So, stay tuned for KickStarter news, and dream of all the dollar bills you’re going to give us.
And yes, yes, yes, for the last time - you can have my autograph.
